Shocking news.  There has been a decision to evoke over 22 thousand pounds of beef. This is because of the potential threat of the E.coli bacterium.

An establishment of food located in Kentucky has made the decision to recall the primal beef cut as well as the raw ground beef products which lie under the suspicion of being contaminated.

This according to the Food Safety and Inspection Services of the Department of Agriculture in the United States.

They discovered this problem with contamination on the 5th of June. It was when the managers of the plant had conducted 2 separate tests for the E.coli bacterium. And wouldn’t you know it, both of those tests turned out positive.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Services had this to report.

They had shipped the ‘infamous’ meat products to many different locations in the states of Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, and Ohio.

These products had been produced on the 31st of May, The 1st of June, and the 2nd of June in the year 2017.

The products shown below are the ones who were recalled:

Beware of This Establishment Number

The USDA stated that the products might have this establishment number “EST. 7914” inside their packaging.

Furthermore, they strongly urge the consumers who have already bought these products not to consume them. Rather, you should either return them to the place from whence you purchased them or simply throw them away.

After all, E.coli is no laughing matter and one should not take it easily. It is a bacterium which may very well be potentially deadly.

It can cause symptoms like bloody diarrhea, feeling dehydrated, and even abdominal cramps in the period of 2-8 days (although 3-4 days is more common) after the initial exposure to this organism.

And while, on average, most individuals will likely recover in a week’s time, some are in danger of developing hemolytic uremic syndrome, which is a type of kidney failure.

Even though the hemolytic uremic syndrome is not picky with its victims and can affect anyone, it is still most common in young children (especially those under 5 years) and the elderly.

If you yourself find you have experienced or are experiencing any of the above-stated symptoms, you should waste no time and contact your nearest hospital or medical care center at once.
