Garlic-Bacon Cheese Log

Advertisements

I just kinda made this one up, but it sure is tasty and goes over well at parties and holiday gatherings. I use something I find at Krogers called pub cheese (sharp cheddar variety) but any cheddar cheese spread would work. You can make this into any shape you like such as a cheese ball instead of a log. At Halloween time I make it into a spider using pretzels for legs and pickled onion and black olives for eyes. Serve with whatever crackers you prefer and enjoy this pretty appetizer!

Ingredients :

2 pkg (8 oz.) cream cheese

1 (8 oz.) containter sharp cheddar pub cheese

1 1/2 c shredded cheddar cheese

1 pkg (4.5 oz.) real bacon bits or pieces

2-4 clove garlic, minced

1 tsp worcestershire sauce

1 c crushed pecans

2 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Directions :

1. Combine first 6 ingredients; mix well, shape into a log.

2. Refrigerate for 1 hour. Combine pecans and parsley; Roll log into pecan mixture. Chill and serve.
