Chicken goes perfectly with bacon if you know the trick! This chicken monterey is a melting dish of flavors! Check out how I make it.
You’ll Need:
8 slices of chopped bacon.
4 chicken breasts, pounded to an even thickness.
1 tsp of Lawry’s seasoning salt.
1 cup of a barbecue sauce of your choosing.
Shredded cheese.
Green onions.
How to:
Cook the bacon in a large skillet until crispy and remove it from the pan.
Remove the dippings from the skillet leaving 2 tbsps.
Season the chicken with the Lawry’s seasoning salt and brown it in the bacon drippings over medium high heat for 4 to 5 minutes on each side.
In a large baking dish, place the chicken and top it with the barbecue sauce, bacon and cheese.
Cover the pan with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes in a preheated oven to 350° then cook uncovered for 10 additional minutes.
Top with green onions and Voila!
