Who doesn’t love that combination of ground beef and cheese? Many of my meatloaf recipes are based on that combination, and for a good reason! Check out this amazing cheddar meatloaf.
You’ll Need:
2 lbs of ground beef.
1 ½ cups of Italian breadcrumbs.
0.75 (16 ounce) jar of mild salsa.
¼ cup of ketchup.
½ cup of cheddar cheese or mozzarella cheese, small diced.
2 dashes of basil.
2 dashes of oregano.
2 dashes of onion powder.
2 dashes of garlic powder.
1 pinch of salt.
1 pinch of pepper.
1 egg.
Shredded cheese.
How to:
Preheat the oven to 375°.
In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients together leaving the shredded cheese aside.
Form the mixture into a loaf pan and spread a very thin layer of ketchup over the top.
Bake for 1 to 1 ½ hours and top with cheese and bake for 5 more minutes.
Enjoy!
Easy, peasy and cheesy! We love this dish so much, especially with a good salad aside and nice cold dessert after. It makes the perfect meal! Give it a shot, you won’t regret it.
